- One map entitled "The Rand-McNally New Commercial Atlas of the Great Lakes and Vicinity, Showing the Navigation Routes, Connecting Railroads and Principal Ports." The color map is printed across pages XVI and XVII of the "Commercial Atlas of America" and shows the entire Great Lakes region of the United States and Canada. Inset maps in the upper portion of the sheet show the Detroit River and Lake St. Clair area and also the Welland Canal. Tables in the upper portion give information about quantities of bulk cargo shipped along with a list of principal cities in the region. Printed text on the verso gives information about steamship lines, canals, railroads, and irrigation projects. The map is dated 1912.

- Map, "La Riviere Du Detroit Depuis le Lac Sainte Claire jusqu'au Lac Erie," published by Jacques Nicholas Bellin in 1764. The map, printed in French, shows the Detroit River, the northern portion of Lake Erie, the southern portion of Lake St. Clair, and surrounding land. An inset at lower right shows the "Plan Du Fort Du Detroit," with roads and some buildings labeled. The shoreline along the Detroit River is colored in yellow and green, and the buildings on the plan of Fort Detroit are colored in brick red.

- Part of a series of anti-Prohibition trade cards which bear comical color lithographic prints and rhymes in support of alcohol, provided "compliments of George H. Gies, 16 Monroe Avenue, Detroit, Mich.," a wine and liquor vendor, and printed by the Compton Lithograph Company of St. Louis. This card depicts a man with a beard and a green suit seated at a table. He holds a glass of beer and a cigar. A hat and newspaper are on the table before him. "Against Prohibition No. 5. Refreshing Beer gives strength and health / And smooths the rugged road to wealth," is printed below. The verso appears to bear an advertisement for George H. Gies' store beneath a layer of backing material glued onto the card.

This folio, Part Six, has a gray/green paper cover that is printed in brown text. - Program for the first Annual Championship Games of the Amateur Athletic Union of the United State held on the grounds of the Detroit Athletic Club on September 19, 1888. The program is bound in a yellow paper cover with decorative lettering for the title. Within are lists of committee members, board members, and officers responsible of the day, as well as schedules and lists of competitors for various track and field events: 100 yards run, 120 yards hurdle, one mile walk, one mile run, 220 yards run, two mile bicycle race, 220 yards hurdle race, three mile walk, 440 yards run, 880 yards run, five mile run, running high jump, tug of war, 16 pound shot put, running long jump, 16 pound hammer throw, pole vault, and 56 pound weight throw. In addition there are numerous illustrated advertisements.

- Schedule booklet for the Detroit Merchants and Manufacturers First Michigan Trip beginning November 28th, and ending December 2nd, 1898. A passage inside the booklet explains the purpose of the trip to being to allow members of the Detroit Merchants and Manufacturers Exchange to meet their customers around the state. The Michigan Central Railroad Depot on the corner of Third Avenue and Jefferson Avenue is pictured on the cover. The itinerary within lists arrival and departure times for the towns along the route. The itinerary uses the Michigan Central Railroad, Lake Shore and Michigan Southern Railway, Grand Trunk Railroad, Flint and Pere Marquette Railroad, and the Detroit, Grand Rapids and Western Railroad. The booklet is bound with both staples and glue.

- Ballou's Pictorial, Vol. X, No. 15 - Whole No. 249 dated Saturday, April 12, 1856. 16 pages numbered 225 through 240. Newspaper contains etchings, articles, and story chapters. The front page features an etching of Jefferson Avenue captioned "Central View in Jefferson Avenue, Detroit, Michigan." The etching features a view of Jefferson Avenue with many people and horse-drawn carriages in the foreground and a view of the river in the background.

- Map, "Plan of Detroit," from page 80 of Mitchell's New General Atlas, "Entered according to Act of Congress in the year 1879 by S. Augustus Mitchell in the Office of the Librarian of Congress at Washington." The map shows the City of Detroit, separated into 10 wards with green, pink, and yellow shading. The map is bound to the west by Twenty Fourth Street, to the south by the Detroit River, to the east by Mt. Elliott Avenue, and to the north by Holden Road (near what is now I-94). In addition to roads, the map also indicates railroad lines, including Michigan Central R.R., Grand Trunk R.R., Detroit Monroe & Toledo R.R., and Detroit & Milwaukee R.R. The reverse side of the page features page 79 of Mitchell's New General Atlas, which contains a portion of a map of Michigan.

- Abstract of Title prepared by the Guaranty and Abstract Department of the Union Trust Company concerning "Fyfe, Barbour and Warren's Subdivision of that Part of Private Claim 260 Lying between Horatio Street and Warren Avenue." The proposed subdivision is bounded by Horatio Street on the south, Campbell Avenue on the west, Warren Avenue on the north, and 32nd Street on the east. The document package consists of 20 pages of printed text which trace the chain of land ownership from Elijah Brush who recorded a claim at the Land Office in Detroit in 1808. The abstract traces the property ownership through the 1800's to various persons including the heirs of Elijah Brush. The property was sold in 1896 by the trustees of the estate of Edmund A. Brush for $24,000 to Richard H. Fyfe. A map of the proposed subdivision is included. The pages are bound at the top with a green ribbon.

The poster shows a color caricature drawing of a group of African American men who are seated in a large meeting room which has the name, "Paradise Hall," shown on a sign over the door. Two men are standing in front of the group near the left side of the drawing and appear to be speaking. Another man is seated near the lower left corner and appears to be the recording secretary. A copy of "The Weekly Detroit Free Press" newspaper is resting on the floor in the foreground. Printed text beneath the title along the lower left edge shows "Copyrighted by Calvert Lith. Co., Detroit, 1882."

- One American Automobile Association (AAA) poster with the message, "Skate on Sidewalk." The poster has a purple and yellow drawing of a cat, dog, spoon, and a plate on a white background which shows them roller-skating on a sidewalk. The safety poster was intended to remind young children to skate on the sidewalk rather than on the roadway. Additional printed text at the bottom center area of the poster shows "Favorite Fable Series. Hey-Diddle-Diddle, the Cat and the Fiddle. Can You Give Three Reasons for Always Skating on the Sidewalk?" and "Prepared for the Automobile Club of Michigan, AAA." Small printed text at the lower left corner shows "S. S. P. No. 109, Copyright 1939, American Automobile Association, Safety & Traffic Engineering Dept." Small printed text in the lower right corner shows "Accidents Are Avoidable, Alertness Avoids Accidents."

Within its 56 pages are articles concerning the ground breaking for the new Masonic Temple, plans to build a statue of Robert Burns in Cass Park, as well as news of the various lodges and orders in Detroit. Numerous advertisements for local businesses are peppered throughout.

- Booklet published on the occasion of the eighty second anniversary of the Detroit News and the opening of the new Detroit Free Press building, designed by Albert Kahn, in 1913. The front cover features an embossed image of a man with a quill writing on a scroll with a city skyline behind him and the words "A Record of Progress." The words "Eight-Two Years a Newspaper" are embossed in gold underneath the image, and text reading "The Detroit Free Press 1913" is located on the bottom left. The inside of the booklet features 32 pages recounting, as indicated by the first page, "A Short Story of Eighty-Two Years of the greatest daily Newspaper of the Middle West commemorating the Opening of the New Home of The Detroit Free Press." The booklet also features numerous black and white photographs of the interior rooms of the building and portrait depictions of the Executive Staff and the Editorial Staff. The center of the booklet features a two page spread of a hand-colored photograph of the Counting Room. The copyright statement on the last page reads "Designed and Executed Complete by The Franklin Press Detroit."
