- Looking east from West Washtenaw Street. Shops seen in the 200 block of South Washington Avenue: part of Muir Drugs at 229, Cotton Shop women's clothing at 231, Juvenile Shop at 233, Clark's Jewelry at 235, and La Mode millinery at 237. South of East Washtenaw Street is seen Shaw's Jewelers at 301 South Washington Avenue. The north side of East Washtenaw is also seen in the background: Ellison Book Shop at 101, Pacific Finance Loans at 107, American Laundry at 111 and Hal Clark tailor at 121 East Washtenaw Street. Hal Clark Tailors is also on the 100 block of East Washtenaw Street. The large building to the right is the auditorium portion of the Michigan Theatre on South Washington Avenue. The Michigan National Tower is prominent in the background.
