- Located on West Michigan Avenue. Lansing's first area mail carier was Bert N. La Du, October 2, 1899. He went by horse and buggy and his route took him twenty-two miles. Out Saginaw to M-100, then back to Grand Ledge Corners, south to St. Joseph Street and back into the city. Information from Heleln Grainger.

- A wood-frame grocery store and post office at the corner of Hamilton and Okemos roads. The wooden cabinet in front of the store is labeled "Gasoline." This image is a duplicate. The original source is unknown.

- Located on Franklin Avenue. Hedges and Reck Drug Store sold books and other items, and contained the North Lansing post office in the rear, in addition to the pharmacy. A sign for Mrs. G.H. Gregory Millinery ("Upstairs") is also visible. The Lansing State Journal for August 1, 1933 (page 4), published this photograph with a long article about the business. The caption identifies the young man at far left as Benjamin F. Moore, then a letter carrier, who went on to become the postmaster at the office for almost 45 years. Ted Gleason is in the center, and John Reck is at right. Originally part of the Carl Dalrymple Collection.
