- Sepia-toned photograph depicting the manufacture of the "pattern boat" at the Ford Highland Park Factory, viewed from a point overlooking its starboard quarter. A caption on the verso reads, "EAGLE SHIP under construction at the Highland Park plant, miles away from water. This experimental model was dismantled and used the parts incorporated into various later production ships." Stamped; "Credit: Dossin Great Lakes Museum, Do not reproduce without written permission". Lower right hand corner shows photo number and date of photo: 22503-6-24-18. Photo mounted on a linen backing.

This pattern boat was later dismantled and used as a template for Eagle Boats to be manufactured at Ford's River Rouge Complex. The caption, "Study or test hull complete. (later dismantled)," is on the verso. Lower left hand corner of photo has number and date of photo: 22687-7-18-18. Photo mounted on a linen backing.
