Blue ink has been used to show the water surface and the wood hull has been tinted in a light tan color. The plan was prepared at a scale of 1/2 inch = 1 foot by Frank E. Kirby for the Detroit Dry Dock Company.

- One advertisement card for the passenger steamship, Mayflower, which offered passages between Buffalo and Detroit with rail connections from Albany to Buffalo and from Chicago to Detroit via the Michigan Central Railroad Line. The front of the white paper card is printed in brown text and shows general timetable information for the steamship. The verso is printed in blue text and gives travel distances in miles from Detroit and Buffalo to various cities in Michigan and New York.
