This boat served as the pattern for all other Eagle Boats to be manufactured at the Ford Rouge Complex. This boat, after completion, was then disassembled and each was part given a code number and then used as a template for the other Eagle Boats. - Sepia-toned photograph of a completed Eagle Boat being lowered into the Rouge River by the launch elevator at the Ford River Rouge Factory Complex, as viewed from the water off of its port quarter. Its hull has almost broken the surface of the water. The boat has been dressed with its signal flags, and draped with banners. The towers of the launch elevator have also been draped with banners. Uniformed naval personnel stand on the boat's deck, and spectators watch from a walk way beside the elevator, as well as a small motor boat.
