- One drawing entitled "Inboard Profile, 8 Yd. Dipper Dredge." The drawing consists of black ink on linen and shows a port side view of the dipper dredge, Richard B. Mellon. The view shows the interior of the hull and superstructures. The backhoe arm and bucket can be seen at the bow along with the spud pile at the stern. A title block in the lower right corner shows that the drawing was prepared by the "Manitowoc Ship Building & Dry Dock Co." It is drawn at a scale of 1/4 inch = 1 foot and is dated June 5, 1914. - Telegram from the Western Union Telegraph Company, Oscoda, Michigan, dated 9 am, August 19, 1881, to Wm. Jankwisan. The telegram form is printed in black text on yellowed paper and has a message that is handwritten in pencil that reads "You had better take the raft away at once; the demurrage charge is twenty five dollars per day for every day it stays here. Oscoda Boom Co."

- One letter, dated February 11, 1909, from Dunbar & Sullivan Dredging Company of Buffalo to Fleet Falconer Williams & Bovey, of Montreal. The carbon copy letter is typewritten in blue ink on yellowed vellum paper. The letter concerns a recent exchange of stock shares in the Abbey Effervescent Salt Company.

- One navigational chart entitled "St. Lawrence River, Detail Sheet No. 7." The title block near the lower right corner of the sheet indicates "Major C. B. Comstock, Corps of Engineers, U.S.A., in charge" and that the chart area was "Surveyed by F. M. Towar, A. T. Morrow, and C. Stephens." The chart was drawn at a scale of 1:10,000 and is printed in black ink on white paper. Survey information includes water depths in feet, depth contour lines, shoal and current notes, river bottom characteristics, shoreline details, towns, roads, property lines, north arrow, and survey triangulation points. The chart is dated 1871. A black ink stamp on the verso shows "U. S. Engineer Office, Detroit, Mich., Jun. 20, 1901."

- One plan sheet showing "Arrangement of Freighter" for the steamship, Lake Kyttle (and sister ships). The drawing consists of black ink on linen and shows a starboard side interior profile view and also deck plan views for the proposed steamship. A table in the upper right corner of the sheet lists hull numbers 96 through 104 and shows the vessel names for this group of steamships which were built for the United States Shipping Board. The title block in the lower right corner shows that the drawing was prepared by the "Manitowoc Ship Building Co." at a scale of 1/8 inch = 1 foot and is dated April 18, 1918. The plan number is shown as "4285."

- "Number 17, Dunbar & Sullivan Dredging Co. First Mortgage, 5 Per Cent, $5000 Registered Gold Bond" (17 of 30). The bond is printed in printed in red, green, and black ink on white paper that is watermarked "Broun-Green Beaver Bond." It has a decorative engraved green border with engraved images at the top that depict Lady Liberty and other figures that represent American industry and a bountiful harvest. Black, Old-English style text shows the company name, "Dunbar & Sullivan Dredging Co." and lists the terms of the bond issuance and repayment. The bond has been signed by "Harris T. Dunbar, President," and "Frederick C. Slee, Secretary," and is dated March 15, 1904. The 20-year bonds were due for repayment on March 15, 1924. A round, embossed company seal is located near the lower left corner of the bond. The verso contains blank spaces which have handwritten text that show the date and name in whom the bond was registered along with the signature of the company Treasurer. Other handwritten text and notes showed subsequent bond ownership reassignments with signatures.

The drawing shows a port side exterior profile view and a plan view of the main deck of the sternwheel river steamship. The title block indicates that the plan was prepared at a scale of 1/4 inch = 1 foot and is dated January, 1902. The name, "H. S. Taft," is also shown and may be the name of the steamship.
