- George Feldkamp and his wife Louisa Rentschler Feldkamp. They lived west of Saline, on the north side of Michigan Ave., about halfway between Case and Willow Roads. That was the Feldkamp homestead. George Feldkamp was born Nov. 8, 1858 and died Aug. 17, 1946. Louisa was born March 31, 1858 and died Dec. 26, 1934. They had seven children: Aaron George, Ruben Carl, Viola Otilda, Arthur Julius, Omer Henry, Edna Marie, and Elmer Daniel. George and his wife Louisa are buried at St. James Cemetery, Saline. Louisa's brother was Emanuel Rentschler, the founder of the Saline Rentschler Farm, now a museum. Photo donated by Stacey Burmeister Gingras.
