- Description:
- Black and white glossy photo shows a row of houses and apartment buildings along Madison Street. A street sign showing the name, "Madison," is attached to a tree near the right side of the photo. A park and parked automobiles are visible in the foreground and the buildings are visible in the background. Near the center of the photo, there is a 3-story brick building that has a sign for "Madison Table Supply, Fruits-Groceries-Meats" shown above the ground floor doorway and display in the windows. A billboard on top of this building shows "He honors himself best who honors his industry most." A 3-story brick apartment building near the left side of the photo has the name, "The Korwood," shown over the arched doorway. An ink stamp on the verso reads "W. Braoke, Commercial Photographer, Detroit" and an adhesive label reads "Walker and Company, 1885-1935, Golden Anniversary, Fifty Years of Service." A handwritten date on the verso reads "11/20/20."
