- Looking north on Capitol Avenue North from Michigan Avenue. Starting at Michigan Avenue are seen the Lansing Post Office and Lansing City Hall. Across West Ottawa Street is the Universalist Church. The first building on the left is Central Methodist Church. A streetcar is on Capitol Avenue.

- This church, built between 1888 and 1890 and designed by architect Elijah E. Myers, is located at 215 North Capitol Avenue. It was later renamed Central United Methodist Church.
