- Description:
- Lansing Centennial of Transportation parade. The "traveling jail" Model T paddywagon with a Brothers of the Brush logo on the door. Brothers of the Brush made appearances all over the United States for city centennials in the 20th century, and usually each city held some kind of facial hair growing or shaving contest during centennial celebrations. Sometimes the Brothers would "arrest" any man without a beard and place him in the jail. The Consumers Power Company offices are in the background. Originally part of the Carl Dalrymple Collection.
