Ferry to the Detroit Safe Company thanking them for the durability of four large fire-proof safes which protected their contents from a fire, lasting five or six days, which claimed the D.M. Ferry and Company seed warehouse. The letter is dated January 8, 1886, and is printed on D.M. Ferry and Company letterhead, listing company executives, and printed by the Calvert Lithograph Company.
