- Taken from the back of the car looking forward, the image shows a plush streetcar with leather-upholstered double bucket seats on each side of the aisle. The writing on a ceiling crosspiece on the left, says David P. Clay and to the right, “Built by the St. Louis Car Company, St. Louis, Mo.” On the back of the operator’s seat is a dispenser for the Herald newspaper, "Read while you ride, deposit 3 cents, help yourself, Today's Herald."
