- Supreme Court Justice Nominee Brett Kavanaugh testifies before the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee about allegations that he sexually assaulted Christine Blasey Ford at a house party in Maryland while the two were teenagers. Kavanaugh categorically denies the allegations and asserts that any investigation will clear him and that there is an organized effort to discredit him and scuttle his nomination. He acknowledges that he attended parties while in high school but says that he never met Blasey Ford and that he never had sex until he was married. Kavanaugh also talks about his support of women and says that he has already hired a team of women law clerks in anticipation of being confirmed to the Supreme Court. Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA) chairs the hearing.

- In the second of two oral history interviews, Olga "Jo" Beltrame and her husband Ed Beltrame discuss their careers as union organizers for the United Packinghouse Workers Organizing Committee (later called the Amalgamated Meat Cutters Union). They talk about organizing the meat processing plants in Detroit, efforts to integrate the workforce at local restaurants, people thinking that childcare centers for workers were "socialist", organizing drives at packing plants in the South, the House Un-American Activities Committee, and management's exploitation of female workers. The Beltrames also talk about the efforts to organize Wolverine Worldwide in Michigan and the very difficult time they had. The couple says that they retired from organizing in 1974 and that unionism bettered their lives and the lives of millions of workers around the world. The Beltrames are interviewed by John Revitte, Michigan State University professor of Labor and Industrial Relations. The second of two interviews.

- In the first of two interviews Dale Brickner, professor in the School of Labor and Industrial Relations and associate director of the Labor Education Program at Michigan State University, talks about his youth, family and education and explains how he became interested in labor issues. Brickner talks about his early labor activism and says that he served on a picket line as a youngster and was struck by a teargas canister. He recalls jobs he had in college that had him advocating for labor rights, working in a steel mill and as a reporter for the Cleveland Plain Dealer. Brickner also talks about graduate school, teaching economics and labor relations and recalls several of the union officials with whom he worked and shares stories of his time working with unions and educators.
