- Ballou's Pictorial, Vol. X, No. 15 - Whole No. 249 dated Saturday, April 12, 1856. 16 pages numbered 225 through 240. Newspaper contains etchings, articles, and story chapters. The front page features an etching of Jefferson Avenue captioned "Central View in Jefferson Avenue, Detroit, Michigan." The etching features a view of Jefferson Avenue with many people and horse-drawn carriages in the foreground and a view of the river in the background.

- One sheet, mounted on paper, from the Michigan Volksblatt from 1903, featuring a halftone print of the "Chamber of Commerce - Gebaude" (Chamber of Commerce Building), located at the northeast corner of Griswold and State Streets. Text on the bottom right of the print reads "Ebaut von der deutschen Architectenfirma Spier u. Rohns." (Built by the German architect firm Spier and Rohns). Signage above the entranceways to the building reads "The Citizen's Savings Bank." Several pedestrians can be seen walking along the sidewalk in front of the building, along with several horse drawn carriages and a trolley car heading southwest on State Street.

The LAWRENCE, NIAGARA, LITTLE BELT, LADY PROVOST, DETROIT, CHIPPEWAY, QUEEN CHARLOTTE, HUNTER, SCORPION, CALEDONIA, ARIEL, SOMERS, TRIPPER, PORCUPINE, and TIGRESS are all labeled. The LAWRENCE is shown disabled in the center of the image, and Commodore Oliver Hazard Perry and his crew row a lifeboat toward the NIAGARA.
