Palmer Park, where light house is located is a restful retreat of 120 acres and is located seven miles out Woodward avenue. One of the delightful features is its Log Cabin with its quaint furniture. The late Hazen S. Pingree was four times Mayor of Detroit, and twice Governor of Michigan. He died June 18th, 1901, aged 60 years. Handwritten message on verso, postmarked Aug 14, 1913.
