- Description:
- The Richardsonian Romanesque former Federal Building and Post Office, later used as a City Hall annex. It was built in 1894. Surrounding it are the new City Hall and police annex at the corner of Michigan and Capitol avenues. The picture was likely taken just prior to demolition in 1958. Two copies. Originally part of the Carl Dalrymple Collection.

- Seen from high in the State Capitol Building. At the time of the photo, Washington Avenue had been closed as a street and converted to a mall north of Michigan Avenue and parking south of Michigan. - Former Jack Tar/Olds Hotel, at 125 West Michigan Avenue, before its purchase by State of Michigan. One of seven variants. In this instance, the Sesquicentennial monument can be seen in front of the Capitol beside Capitol Avenue.
