- Children seated at desks writing, and some standing at the chalkboard. They appear to be working on mathematics. A teacher watches. There were 11 slides in a box labeled "Maplewood-Cherry." Nothing on the individual slides distinguishes which images were taken at which school. Cherry Street School was located in the 400 block of South Cherry Street. Maplewood School was in the 2200 block of South Cedar Street.

There were two boxes in this collection labeled "West Jr. High." West Junior High School was built between 1919 and 1920 in the 500 block of West Lenawee Street with further additions in 1922 and 1929.

- Children sitting on the floor. Some play with dolls or on a teeter totter. An American flag hangs in the room. No teacher is seen. The kindergarten teacher at East Park School in the 1925-1926 school year was Violet Plaga. East Park School was built in 1916 to replace a two-room school on Lesher Place on the east side of what was then called East Park. The park's name changed to Oak Park in 1926, and the school name changed then to go along.
