- Description:
- Woman's crepe-backed satin, below knee-length cocktail dress in olive green with loops of pink. A small sequin centers each of the loops. The bodice has short sleeves, a high round neck with a slight turn-over at the throat, and a slit down the center front that is fastened with a hook and loop. The back is draped, and has a cut out from the nape to shoulder blades. The natural waist has a waistband, and the skirt and bodice are gathered so as to appear to tie in the center front. The skirt is fairly straight and has a side zipper. Labels: "Hattie Carnegie" and "Stanley Korshak, Chicago."

- Woman's coat and dress evening ensemble of black and white floral print satin clocque. The floor length coat has a round neckline without a closing. The sleeves are pleated at the shoulder, then fall kimono-like to a three quarter length. The coat is seamed up the center back, and lined with acetate. The floor length dress has a fitted camisole bodice with spaghetti straps seed beads and dangling pendant beads. It zips down the back. The ensemble has a Ruth Joyce label.

- Woman's bright tangerine-color, ankle length evening gown. The flowing, sarong-style dress has assymetrical straps. It has a closing, and fullness at the right front with horizontal draping over the bust with a complex front snap closing. An underdress of tangerine chiffon over crepe has staying, and a concealed zipper. The gown is slit below the knee on the right side. Fullness on the right side flutters open to reveal the underdress. The dress was worn by the daughter of Norah Dingler to her Senior prom. She was a student at Shrine High School. It was purchased at Julie's in the Fisher Building for $700.00. Label: Ferdinando Sarmi.

- This women's ballgown of creamy white satin has a fitted bodice with jewel neckline and long sleeves. The skirt is gathered at the waist, and has a side seam pocket. There are large rhinestones and silver beads at the neckline and cuffs. There is a back zipper closure. Label: "DESIGNED BY SARMI, NEW YORK," and "BONWIT TELLER." Worn by Mrs. Helen Milliken at 1970 and 1974 inaugural balls, her husband was the governor of Michigan from 1969 to 1983. He had previously served as Michigan's Lieutenant Governor from 1965 to 1969 .

- This black wool knit woman's chemise is slightly fitted but has no waist. The cap sleeves have indentations and square gussets at the armholes. There is fringed suede around the neck and down the front on either side of a heavy zipper reaching to above waist level. A concealed zipper closure runs down the back of the dress. - Woman's evening dress of velveteen and printed cotton is above the knee in length, and has an empire waist and a deep V-neck. The bodice is a solid wine colored velveteen with full sleeves. The full gathered skirt is made of velvet cut in quilt blocks with half of each block a bright cotton print of green, red, blue, yellow and white. - This woman's light grey silk cocktail or formal gown has a flesh-colored yoke that is heavily beaded with pearls, rhinestones, and crystal. It has short sleeves, and a jewel neckline. The natural waistline is also outlined with two rows of beadwork. The skirt is gored and extremely full. It has an 11" hem, and attached petticoats of tan crepe and silk faced bottom interlined with horsehair. Back zipper and covered buttons with loop fastenings where chiffon begins. Worn by donor. - This wool challis black, green, purple, red and white geometric print woman's dress has a plain round neck with no collar, long straight sleeves with cuffs and covered buttons. The front is plain and slightly gathered at the waist seam. The dress zips up the back. The dress is part of an ensemble which includes a black knit jumper. The jumper is a chemise with a mandarin collar and large black button at the shoulder. The skirt is slit to the waist. There is a narrow black leather belt. The jumper has a concealed zippered back. The breast pocket has a handkerchief which matches the challis black, green, purple, red and white geometric print of the dress. Label:"Pierre Cardin" (on the dress)

- This rose colored woman's two piece wool knit dress has a top with an overall pattern of overlapping horizontal ribbed squares, 3/4 length raglan sleeves with ribbed cuffs, and a round neckline with a ribbed turn-over collar. There is a 6" neck zipper, and a ribbed bottom with belt loops for 3/4" self belt with a brass buckle. The straight skirt has a wide vertical ribbed pattern and an elasticized waistband. Label (in top): "Created by Chevy Chase Knitwear Mills, Inc."
