- Newberry residence at the northeast corner of Walnut Boulevard and Fourth Street. Yard scene depicting two women, a girl, a boy, and a dog. Pictured are Caroline Mack Newberry (1845-1929) and her daughter, Edith Cook Mackin (1870-1941). This was originally the Almon Mack home, and was left to his adopted daughter, Caroline or Carrie, and her husband, Arthur F. Newberry. - Description:
- The Dillman & Upton Lumber Company has occupied various locations within Rochester, and at the time of this photograph, was located on the west side of North Main Street. Charles W. Upton started the business near 311 West Fifth Street (University Drive) about 1908, focusing primarily on selling coal. Around 1919, the business moved to this location at 543 North Main Street and was taken over by Upton's nephew, Roy G. Upton, and son-in-law, Arthur R. Dillman. From the 1950s onward, the business continued to diversify it's products and continued to grow. In 1987, Dillman & Upton moved to 607 Woodward Avenue.
