- This cartoon, drawn by a British internee at the prison camp at Ruhleben, describes the long awaited day of the end of the war and repatriation. Some of the internees will march out of camp under a banner, others will stack their belongings on a cart, while most prisoners will scramble to gather some of their belongings and escape the confines of the camp for the waiting trains. Note the YMCA hall in the background of the drawing.

- This is a general view of the prison camp at Ebersdorf bei Chemnitz which shows the POW barracks, the enclosed athletic field, and the camp fence. The Germans built this facility shortly before the war and incarcerated Allied prisoners here in 1914. Note the prisoners by the entrance of the building to the right.

- French prisoners of war unload a wagon of potatoes and a cart of fresh milk from local farmers in the court yard of the prison at Grafenwoehr. They load baskets of food which will be sold in the prison canteen. Prisoners with money could purchase additional food to augment their diets by making purchases in the canteen.

- This photo, probably taken from a watch tower, provides a general view of the rows of barracks at the prison camp at Kassel-Niederzwehren with the Wilhelmshoehe Mountains in the background. This type of barrack arrangement was used in a number of German prison camps constructed during the war.
