- The Wurzburg Department Store exhibit at the annual Home Show features the GE products they carried: three refrigerators, one with a separate freezer door; a stove; the insides of a dishwasher so one could see how it works; a clothes washer with the motor on display with a see-through agitator on top, so one could see how it works; a mangle iron press; three televisions, one a table top, another a small console, and the third in a larger console along with a radio and record player. A sign announces that "Television is coming to Grand Rapids in 1949. WLAV will bring Grand Rapids the world's greatest features including drama, comedy, sports, variety, and news from the nation's talent capitols." In the view is an exhibit next it of Chic's Paints & Supplies at 1956 S. Division, featuring "Berryflat" paint, "improved oil-based flat finish."

- Storefront of Van's Radios Sales and Service at 958 Burton Street SE also washing machines and "electric refrigerators." In the windows an open refrigerator, a stove and washing machine are displayed with cardboard cutouts of well-dressed women pointing out features of the appliances. A large advertisement uses Ripley, in Believe It or Not, to extol the Rollator made by Borg-Warner Co. of Detroit, which comes with a ten-year guarantee.
