- This photograph provides a view of the barges and barracks at the north end of the prison camp at Danzig on the Vistula River. Prisoners unload planks from barges tied to the docks near the prison camp. The Germans housed some Allied POW's in the barges on the river bank.

- French and Russian cobblers practice their trade at a work bench outside of their workshop at Danzig. These craftsmen provided important services to prisoners who could not work without proper footwear. Apprentices could learn a new trade by working with experienced shoemakers.

- Russian prisoners prepare to butcher a recently slaughtered hog in the prison compound at Danzig. Note the white identification badges on the breast pockets of the prisoners. The pig provided the protein for the POW's for the next meal.
