A carved figure of a fireman, who is shown with a downcast gaze, is standing on top of the column. The front of the base shows a raised carving of a fireman's helmet and the lettering, "Firemen." A planted flower bed occupies the area around the monument base. Also, there are two large flower urns on each side of the monument. Several ornamental fire hydrants are visible in the foreground and gravestones can be seen in the area beyond the flower bed.
