- Color postcard depicting the Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument at Campus Martius, facing west. In the background are City Hall, the Hammond BUilding and Ford Building. Handwritten message on verso, postmarked 1910.

- Two photographic prints mounted to opposite sides of the same oval-shaped board. Recto bears a sepia-toned photo of City Hall Market, an open-air marked filled with booths, horses, and carts set up behind the City Hall that was in service until 1872, in the present site of Cadillac Square. A sign for "Provisions" is visible along the storefronts on the left side of the picture. A man, three children, a dog, and a horse and a cart are in the middle ground. A woman with a parasol, and a fence or railing that reads, "Hanging 102" is in the foreground. Verso bears a hand-colorized portrait of a seated woman in a purple dress, with white sleeves and a collar. Her hair is pulled back into a chignon and she wears a cross around her neck.

- Color Postcard depicting City Hall from Woodward Avenue with several pedestrians in front, a horse-drawn buggy and a parked automobile. Printed on verso: "THE DETROIT CITY HALL, in which are located the administrative offices of the city, was erected in 1869. It is a handsome and substantial structure, situated on Woodward Avenue, between Fort Street and Lafayette Avenue, occupying an entire block. The city spent $50,000 remodeling the interior in 1906. To the left is shown Fort Street, one of the leading business thoroughfares and which connects the heart of the city with the immense manufacturing establishments in Delray and other down-river industries." Handwritten message on verso reads: "I am with a couple good caracters [sic], don't tell anyone where I be. Lilly got her divorce granted, expect a job soon. - Jack Perkins" Postmarked Oct 10, 1911.

- Black and white photo of City Hall and the Majestic Building as taken from a window of the Russell House to the southeast. Woodmere, Brush, and Woodward line streetcars are in Campus Martius, including cars 386 and 290. A horse-drawn cart carrying several large potted ferns is on Ford Street beside City Hall's lawn. Several horse-drawn carriages are on Woodward in front of City Hall. A man in a white suit picks up horse droppings in the intersection of Woodward and Ford using a large scoop and a shovel. A moonlight tower stands on the south corner of Woodward and Michigan Avenue. Signs for C.A. Shafer are posted on the side of the Majestic Building. A mimeographed caption is on the verso, along with an impression of a photo of William C. Maybury: This picture was taken in the central business portion of the city of Detroit from a window of a hotel known as the Russell House.. The hotel is situated on the South East corner of Woodward Avenue and Cadillac Square. The photograph is made from a negative taken in the fall of 1900 and is a fairly good representation of exterior photography, at this date. The photograph was made by C.M. Hayes and Co., a firm engaged in general photography.
