- Black and white photo of the interior of the Edison Building on the southeast corner of Washington Boulevard and State Street, taken during its conversion from the Edison Illuminating Company's Station A to the company's offices. Much of the interior has been gutted leaving girders exposed. Three workers pose amid piles of lumber and girders, while other workers on scaffolding work on the brickwork of the walls. A spiral staircase rises near the upper left corner of the frame. "Main Office - Progress - Reconstructing 2nd & 3rd Floors," and "M-5019 12-8-16." are printed along the bottom edge of the image.

- Black and white photograph taken overlooking work to convert building "B" of the Ford River Rouge Factory Complex from manufacture of Eagle Boats to that of automobiles. The strip at the center of the photo, in one of the outer aisles of the building, has been mostly filled with dirt, with regularly spaced divots left in it. The adjacent strips visible in the background on the right, are still being filled in. A worker driving a tractor pulls a trailer carrying wooden boxes, one of which is being handled by another worker. "26784-5-27-19," is printed in the lower right corner of the recto, and "3C-3," is handwritten on the verso. The photo is mounted on a linen backing.

- Sepia-toned photo of an Ball Engine Company Erie steam shovel and a Department of Street Railways pick-up truck being used to dig a ditch along a residential street intersecting with Maryland Street, likely Charlevoix Street or Mack Avenue, for the installation of streetcar tracks. Two watch in the foreground. Behind the truck, a worker stands in the ditch with a shovel. A girl stands on the lawn of one of the homes across the street, beside piles of dirt. Signs on the side of the truck read, "City of Detroit, Dept. of Street Railways, 82 Miles in 1921," and "Dirt Wagon 1921."

Caption reads: This shows the original construction over the Dressler Kiln #1, looking north from the south end of the building. The building over Dressler Kiln #1 was not built until a much later date. This picture shows the original construction before much of the building was reinforced and steel columns used. - Print. Mounted, sepia-toned photographic print, entitled "Detroit River Tunnel, No. 8. October-1907," depicting the construction of the Michigan Central Railway Tunnel. A barge equipped with two cranes is shown aside two pairs of buoyancy cylinders. Two upright cylindrical sections as well as an alignment mast protrude from the water in front of the nearest pair of cylinders. A small boat, a barge, and a tug are behind the further set of cylinders. On the left, behind a rubble-covered dock, a portion of a loaded railroad car ferry with four stacks is visible. Photo is mounted to white cardstock, onto which is printed the title and a caption: Section No. 1 - Showing section completely submerged on even keel, supported by buoyancy cylinders. Note white mark on alignment mast which will mark surface of water after second lowering. This is accomplished by the admission of water in compartments of cylinders. "C.M. Hayes & Co. Detroit" stamped into matting as well. Photo and matting were store inside of large white cardstock frame.
