The title block at the top center area of the sheet shows that the plan was prepared at a scale of 1/4 inch. (The ship was later renamed. It was the SS City of St. Ignace from 1907 to 1927 and was the SS Keystone from 1927 to 1932.)

- Detroit and Cleveland Navigation Company advertisement printed on cardstock, possibly intended as an ink blotter. Depicts a group of frogs singing Christmas carols into the microphone of a radio transmitter in a small shed, while another frog in a coat and a gnome stand outside. Several passenger steamers are in the snow in the distance. An insert depicts a family listening to the radio in a living room decorated for Christmas. An insert of a buffalo and a wreath around the D&C logo are also pictured. Text at lower left reads: Detroit. Michigan December 25, 1923 To Ticket Agents, Connecting Lines and Shippers: "Tune in" on our best wishes to you for a Merry Christmas and a bright and prosperous New Year. The cover bears a painting of the CITY OF DETROIT III sailing away from a sun rise or sun set, as another passenger steamer travels in the distance. The back cover lists the schedule for the WESTERN STATES, EASTERN STATES, CITY OF DETROIT II, and CITY OF ST. IGNACE of the Detroit and Cleveland Division, the CITY OF DETROIT III and CITY OF CLEVELAND III of the Detroit and Buffalo Division, and the CITY OF ALPENA II and CITY OF MACKINAC II of the Mackinac Division. The interior contains a map of routes and a table of fares.

- Detroit and Cleveland Navigation Company, Cleveland Division freight bill invoice for 33 cases of Smucker's apple butter shipped to the E.J. Dossin Company on May 2, 1923 aboard the passenger steamer WESTERN STATES. The bill is stamped as paid by the D&C line, and several handwritten notes have been made on it. A second copy is attached along the perforated left edge.
