- The examples of Lagergeld (prison camp script) on this page come from the 14th Army Corps Inspector General's office in Carlsruhe (50 Pfennige), a 1 Mark note from Heidelberg, and a 100 Mark note from the officers' prison camp in Villingen (this was an especially large bank note). Both of these prison camps were located in the Grand Duchy of Baden.

- This is an example of a French officer's room at Heidelberg. The occupant has a comfortable set up: his space is separated by partitions and includes a wide range of furniture including several chairs, a stool, a hassock, and a table covered with a colorful table cloth. The prisoner has decorated the walls of his room with silhouettes of French POW's and a map (and decorated the light as well).

- This one-Mark bill, stamped by the XIV Army Corps command, was used by officers imprisoned in the prison camp at Heidelberg. The currency was valid only for purchases inside of the prison camp, a plan designed to limit bribery of the guards, reduce black market trade, and prevent the financing of escape attempts.

- This is a general view of the four-story prison facility for officers at Heidelberg. The photograph clearly shows the three tennis courts and exercise ground within the compound. A tennis match is underway in the center court. German sentries guard the perimeter of the fence at the bottom of the photo.

- A Roman Catholic priest stands in front of the altar inside of the chapel in the prison camp at Heidelberg. A choir of French officers stand to the left of the organ, while a statue of the Virgin Mary holding the Christ child stands on a small table to the right.

- French and Belgian officers enjoy a game of croquet on the exercise grounds in the prison compound at Heidelberg. A group of spectators, which include British officers, watch the action.

- This was the dining hall officers used in the prison camp at Heidelberg. Each of the tables is covered with a white table cloth and each place is set with a bowl, plate, and cup. Note the bottles of wine on the back table and on the sill of the rear window.
