A sign mounted on top of the engine reads, "2,500 Horse Power, Steam Turbine Engine, Used in Eagle Boats, Ford Motor Company." Other engines are in the background. Seventy-five engines were built with enough parts for 15 more. The caption, "Complete turbine power-plant assembly," is on the verso. Hirshfeld of the Electric Railway Presidents' Conference Committee, taken facing the rear. Upholstered seating, cranks to open and close the windows, and overhead advertisements for Ivory Soap and the National Tea Company are visible within. A man in a boater hat is reflected in the mirror over the car's central door. Brick industrial buildings are visible in the background through the car's windows. "P.39036, L. 6445, 7-31-34, JP.V.V." is printed in the lower right corner. "Built by Pullman Car & Mfg. Corp., Chicago," is embossed in the bottom center of the photo.
