- The above measurements do not reflect warp and weft direction, but overall size. This fragment consists of small pieces of woven wool fabric that have been folded, twisted and sewn together. There are at least two different fabrics.; Fragment A - brown warp, 0.7 cm wide green weft band and 0.4 cm wide red weft band.; Fragment B - possibly in two or three pieces; yellow warp, blue/black weft with some linen slit tapestry and weft-wrapping.

- Notes:
- Fragment of woven wool fabric with a plied warp (variegated yellow and browns) and yellow and brown weft bands (shaded stripes?). Linen weft-wrapping forms patterns in the brown bands. The patterns appear to be geometric.

- Fragment of yellowed woven wool fabric (fragment A) which has been folded and sewn to form a small sleeve. The seam is very deteriorated but the rolled hem at the edge is mostly intact. A small piece of fabric (fragment B) was sewn on to one side of the sleeve. This piece has yellowed warp and weft bands as follows:; yellow 0.3 cm; blue 1.8 cm; yellow 0.2 cm; blue tapestry 0.5 cm yellow 0.2 cm; blue 1.9 cm; yellow 0.6 cm; The two wider blue bands have very deteriorated remnants of linen weft-wrapping. The central tapestry band has remnants of linen slit tapestry. This fragment may have been wider originally as the rows of sewing that attach it to the sleeve extend approximately 5 cm farther over on the sleeve.

- The above measurements are for the pad as a whole and do not reflect warp and weft directions. Several fragments sewn together into a layered pad. Parallel rows of stitching go through all layers. Individual fragments are described under fabric structure.; Top layer:; 1 - yellow warp, blue/green, red and yellow weft 2 - yellow warp and purple weft; 3 - red warp/red weft (dye ran into warp which may have originally been yellow); 4 - green warp/green weft (dye ran out in places); 5 - brown warp/blue-purple weft (with selvedge); 6 - brown warp/purple weft (extremely worn); Fragments not listed on accession card (top layer); 7 - yellow warp/red-purple weft; 8 - blue-grey warp/brown-gold weft with blue tapestry; Bottom layer:; 1 - brown warp/brown weft; 2 - yellow warp/yellow weft; 3 - yellow warp/yellow weft (unattached fragment); Middle layers (difficult to see, not listed on accession card); 1 - light brown warp/light brown weft (very loosely woven); 2 - yellow warp/yellow weft; 3 - yellow warp/brown weft (with border); 4 - yellow warp/brown weft; 5 - brown warp/brown weft; 6 - brown warp/ brown weft; (rag amalgam)
