On the north side are seen the Bank of Lansing, Western Union, Jury-Rowe and the Lansing Police Headquarters. City Planning Division staff annotated the photo and cut off one corner. - A photograph of a wood frame home at at 1108 West Michigan Avenue, belonging to Mintie L. Hamilton. The house number can be seen to the left of the front door. The Lansing City Directory lists Mintie (widow of Jesse B.) and her son Earl at that address, which was only about four blocks from the Lawrence home on Shiawassee. Note on sleeve: "No. 22. Mrs. Hamilton's Home (2.) June 20 '98. 11am. Snap Shot. Opr. Al."

- At right is the end of the Gladmer Theatre at 233 North Washington Avenue. Moving left, in the same building, Randall's Health Foods is at 231. Continuing south, Silver Lead Paint at 229, Western Auto Supply at 225, Emery-Pratt office equipment at 223, Epicure Tea Shop at 221, MacLaughlin Music at 219, National China at 213, and Firestone Tires at 211. The block ends with the Tussing building at West Ottawa Street, home of the Palms Theatre at 209 and the College Drugstore at 201. Buildings seen to the south include the Bank of Lansing at 101 North Washington Avenue, Prudden building on South Washington and West Michigan Avenue, and the Michigan National Tower at West Allegan Street and South Capitol Avenue.
