- A group of 13 items (letters, memos, envelopes), mostly correspondence to Chief Alfred Seymour. The group includes a letter from then Vice President Calvin Coolidge thanking him for the police department's assistance when he visited Lansing, and several letters sent to Seymour upon his retirement in 1937.

- Teachers at a retirement party for Earl Younglove, a business education teacher at Walter French Junior High School, with a cake shaped like a typewriter. He retired from WJHS after 35 years, in 1961. Younglove is left of center with a light-colored necktie in this photograph, and the others are not identified.

- Mrs. Robert P. Mennen (left; general chairman of the Wednesday reception program), Dr. Forrest G. Averill (center; honoree), and Vernon D. Ebersole (right; president of the Board of Education). Dr. Averill received a copy of a resolution on the new Averill School named in his honor at a retirement reception, May 27, 1964.
