- British prisoners enjoyed considerable freedom during their captivity in the prison camp at Yozgad. These POW's are skiing in the mountains outside of the city. They were in the process of training in preparation for an escape from the facility.

- The judging for Miss Michigan Snow Queen at the Grayling Winter Sports Carnival will take place tonight, Friday January 24 following a banquet. Since there is a strong possibility that June Simes, Wayne University coed and 1946 Homecoming Queen, may be selected as Snow Queen, this picture is offered on speculation so that you will have one immediately available in case she is the winner of the contest. Attached is also a story of Miss Simes.
