The map is printed in black ink on white paper and shows an area of land located west of Livernois Avenue which includes portions of Springwells Township and Ecorse Township adjacent to the Rouge River. The map includes streets, street names, property lines, lot numbers, railroads, rivers and streams, and some company names. The map details were "compiled from actual surveys & records by Mason L. Brown, Civil Engineer & Surveyor, 22 & 23 Hodges Street, Detroit, Mich."
