- East side of 100 and 200 blocks seen from Washtenaw Street. Panoramic shot covering several blocks. Unfortunately, not as sharply focused as most images in the collection. Playing at the Michigan Theatre is "The Blue Angel", released in 1959. City Planning Division staff annotated the photo.

From a vantage point at 100 South Washington, seen are the vacant storefront in the Prudden building announcing the arrival of Cunningham's Drugs, the Holly Lansing Grill at 104 and Baker's Shoe Store at 106, S. S. Kresge department store at 114, Max Harryman Shoes at 118 South Washington Avenue and the multi-story Hollister building that faces onto West Allegan Street. - Looking north. From a vantage point at 220 South Washington in front of Walgreen Drugs, seen are S. S. Kresge at 216, Barker's Shoe Store at 214, Carl's Shoe Store at 212, and Linn's Camera Shop at 210. Several blocks of the east side of South Washington are also seen. Highlights include Small's Mens Shop at 211, the Foo Ying Cafe on the upper level at 207 1/2 - 209 1/2, Daniel's Jewelry Co. at 205 and Bosch jewelers at 201. In the next block, the 100 block, the American Bank & Trust building is prominent. City Planning Division staff annotated and trimmed the photo. The basis for the annotation, "against the law?" is unknown.

- View from an elevated position showing street closed for parking. From the period when South Washington Street was used as parking lots. The parking attendant's booth can be seen at Allegan Street. According to Lansing City Council Proceedings from October 3, 1966, the 100, 200 and 300 blocks of South Washington were to be turned into a Parking Mall starting November 21, 1966. On June 9, 1989, Council ordered that the attended parking operations were to be eliminated. On the marquee of the Michigan Theater, "Casey's Shadow" with Walter Matthau is listed; the film was released in US theaters in March of 1978.
