The picture also shows the livery next door where the horses were rented as needed for fires. Members of company are listed on back of picture although not identified in photograph. They include Will McCullough, Will Green, George Kishlar, W.G. Shipman, F.P. Bogardes, Billy Robbins, Jerry Jones, Minor Downing, Cassius Holmes, Will Kniseley, Lane Kniseley, Clark Cornwell, Dirk Davis, Dr. Batwell.

Postcard was sent to a Mr. John Thurman in Hillsboro, Oregon and reads "Dear harry, The old Huron where you and I have took many a (unintelligible), Natty".
