- Photograph of the Soldier's Monument in Highland Cemetery. Information on back reads: 'The Soldier's Monument was unveiled Decoration Day, May 30, 1895. It stands 22 feet 3 1/2" high from foundation to the top of the flag. The foundation is solid, beging [sic] begun six feet under ground level and rising three feet above it.' The monument was erected by the Women's Relief Corp.
