- Chapman Pond with Chapman House on hill. Charles Sherwin Chapman (1864-1912) built the residence in 1899, just north of Downtown Rochester on the east side of Main Street. It was demolished in 1968. Inscription on postcard reads Chapman's Trout Pond. Also referred to as Chapman Lake. (RRP-149) [date is approximate] Ray Russell Postcard Collection
