The airplane was noted for its distinctive "batwing" design that can be seen in the top view. The title block in the lower right corner indicates that the plan was prepared by "Stout Engineering Laboratories, Detroit, Michigan," and is dated November 23, 1920. The upper set of shows top, side, and front views of a proposed single-engine airplane that was entitled "Stout Cabin Batwing." An accompanying table summarizes the principal dimensions of the proposed airplane that was to be built of plywood and to be powered by a "200 hp Packard 8" engine. The lower set of sketches shows top, side, and front views of a proposed single-engine airplane that was entitled "The Cootie" and was dated 1919. An accompanying table summarizes the principal dimensions of the proposed airplane.
