Information about the production, brief articles of theatre news, and numerous advertisements--including those for the Brush Motor Car Company, the B. - Print. Black and white photographic print of a police officer walking alongside a woman pushing a baby carriage in Campus Martius. The Detroit Opera House, Merrill Fountain, and the Wonderland vaudeville theater--advertising "Continuous Vaudeville"--are in the background. The photo appears to have been reproduced from one with an irregularly cropped top border, and lower left corner. "1898-1910" handwritten on verso, although the presence of the Merrill Fountain, installed in 1901, tightens this range.

- Small sepia-toned photographic print depicting the Merrill Fountain in Campus Martius in front of the Opera House, however it is captioned on the verso as "Fountain at Cadillac Square, March 10th, 1918." The fountain is turned off, and ice and icicles are visible within. Snow coats the ground and stairs to the right of the fountain. A pedestrian walks past in the background.

- Small sepia-toned photographic print depicting Monroe Street as viewed from across Campus Martius, however the image is incorrectly captioned on the verso as "Cadillac Square as viewed from City Hall, March 10, 1918." The camera was positioned near the curb in front of City Hall. A streetlight pole is to the right. A car passes heading south on Woodward Avenue. Pedestrians, other automobiles, and electric streetcars also traverse Campus Martius. The Detroit Opera House is in the background on the left. A large sign reading, "Join the Navy for Quick Action," has been posted adjacent to it. The businesses of the Monroe Block, including a pool hall, are in the central background. A billboard for Blackstone Cigars has been posted atop the Second Williams Block. Remnants of winter slush cover the street and sidewalk.

- J.L. Hudson trade card advertising the company's move from the Detroit Opera House building, to their new location at 141, 143, and 145 Woodward Avenue. The recto is printed with an image of a woman in a white gown with orange dots, a girdle belt, and an armlet arranging flowers in a vase atop a pedestal. "J.L. Hudson, Clothier, Detroit Opera House Building," is printed along the top. The verso is printed with the text, "On or about April 1st we will remove to our new stores, 141, 143 &145 Woodward Ave. where we shall be pleased to receive our Friends and Customers. J.L. Hudson." "Selma Beer," is handwritten on the verso.

- Envelope and invitation to the Eleventh Annual Commencement of the Detroit Medical College. The envelope is addressed to Charles L. Argus, Esquire, and has an embossed border around its flap. The invite is quarter folded. The cover of the invite is printed with a design composed of the entwined letters D,M, and C. along with the passage: Detroit, March 2, 1879 The Faculty of the Detroit Medical College respectfully invite yourself and family to attend their Eleventh Annual Commencement Exercises, to be held at the Opera House (Campus Martius), on the Evening of Tuesday, March 4th, at 8 o'clock precisely. (Over) The Order of Exercises is printed within, including orchestral music, a prayer, the ceremony, an address, and a poem. Both the invitation and envelope bear the imprint of E.B. Smith and Company, Printers.

- Color postcard depicting the Detroit Opera House at Campus Martius, with the Merrill Fountain in the foreground. Signs read "Pennsylvania Lines", "Union Ticket Office", "Wright, Kay & Co.", and "Temple Theatre, Wonderland, Vaudeville". Printed on verso: Detroit Opera House and Palmer Fountain. - This beautiful fountain was donated to the city by Mrs. Thos. W. Palmer several years ago. It is located on the Campus Martius which was reserved as a breathing spot in the "Governor and Judges" plan, adopted for the city in its earliest history. The Opera House is one of the finest in the country and caters to high class shows only. Handwritten message on verso, postmarked Apr 10, 1910.
