- Sepia-toned photograph depicting the manufacture of the Eagle Pattern Boat at the Ford Highland Park Factory, as viewed from a point above its bow facing aft. Small two-wheeled carts are along its starboard side. Along its port side near the bottom of the frame is a worker at a desk. The pattern boat was disassembled and taken to the Ford River Rouge Factory where each piece was used as template for manufacturing other Eagle Boats. A total of 60 Eagle Boats were built. A caption on the verso reads, "EAGLE SHIP under construction at the Highland Park plant, miles away from water. This experimental model was dismantled and used the parts incorporated into various later production ships." Stamped; "Credit: Dossin Great Lakes Museum, Do not reproduce without written permission". A large shaft is running from the engine turbine to what appears to be generator in the background. Electrical type gauges attached to a panel near the generator are in view. Overhead chain-hoists are visible. Each Eagle Boat engine was tested before being transported to Ford's River Rouge Factory.
