- Breakfast menu card from the Hotel Pontchartrain, dated January 20, 1918. The recto lists fruit, beverages, cereals, eggs, oysters, fish, specials, steaks and chops, and potatoes. The verso declares that the hotel is a member of the United States Food Administration, and urges the conservation of food for the war effort. Additionally, a disclaimer on the verso cautions that the management declines responsibility to damage to clothing caused by accidents in the dining room.

- Description:
- One set of architectural "Specifications for Mr. John C. Garvey for a Brick Veneered and Frame Hotel Building Located on the Northeast Corner of Dix Ave. and Waterman St." The specifications (Job 241) are bound in a booklet that has two brass fasteners at the top. The cover is made of light brown paper that has a cloth backing and includes handwritten text for the title. Printed text beneath the title shows the name, "J. Lawson Miller, Successor to Falkinburg & Miller, Architect." The cover interior and outside back cover have printed advertisements for many contractors, tradesmen, and building materials suppliers. The booklet contains 88 pages of typewritten text that give brief descriptions of all of the materials and construction requirements for the project. An index is shown on the first page. John C. Garvey was the proprietor of the Michigan Central Stock Yards Hotel which was located at the corner of Dix Avenue and Waterman Street in southwest Detroit.

The menu consists of two pages of heavy beige marbled paper, bound together with green and yellow ribbon at the top center. The cover page has an illustration of four ears of corn, along with the crest of the Hotel Charlevoix. Dinner options are listed on the second page.

- Card serving as a memento or invitation to the Centennial Anniversary of Scottish writer Sir Walter Scott held at the Russell House on August 15, 1871. - Half-folded dinner menu from the Griswold House, dated Sunday, May 14, 1882. The menu is printed on paper with a color lithograph of a woman reaching for an overhead branch on the front cover, and a girl holding a parasol beneath a sunflower on the back cover. The menu lists a soup, fish, broiled item, roast items, cold dishes, entrees, relishes, vegetables, pastries, and desserts. Van Est and Graves are listed as the proprietors.
