- This photo is believed to show the laying of corner stone ceremony for Carnegie Library on November 7, 1903, at 210 West Shiawassee Street. The far right shows the corner of Lansing High School before wings were added. At the back of the photo is Jenison Home at the northwest corner of West Shiawassee Street and Seymour Avenue.

- The library moved from its location in College Hall here in 1881. This building is known as Linton Hall. The library remained here until 1925. Located at 479 W. Circle Drive.
