- Photograph. Sepia-toned gelatin silver photo of a parade float that was part of the Detroit Bi-Centenary Parade. The float consists of a wagon that is decorated with an eagle and shield, two carved heads, floral garlands, and fleurs des lis. Six women, dressed in long white gowns and floral garlands, are seated in the wagon which is being drawn by four horses. The horses are covered with long white capes and garland, and each horse also wears a single feathery plume. Four men, dressed in colonial attire, are standing near the horses. A sign on the side of the wagon advertises "Freeman Delamater & Co." The parade is moving along a residential street and several houses are visible in the background, but the street name is not known.

- Large sepia-toned photograph taken of the ceremonial final run of a horse-drawn Detroit Fire Department fire apparatus on April 10, 1922. Three uniformed firefighters riding on a fire engine being drawn by a team of three horses south along Woodward Avenue, as taken from the west side of Woodward south of Grand River Avenue. The Shaw Building and Rayl's Hardware stand in the background. Spectators line the sidewalk, and peer through the windows overlooking the street. The photo is mounted on linen.

In the background is the Golde Clothes store and also a crowd of people who are standing on the sidewalk. Handwriting on the verso notes "April 10, 1922; Parade; Last run of steam engines; Seagrave aerial truck." A blue ink stamp on the verso notes "Photograph by the Detroit News; Not to be Published."

- Black and white photographic print from a glass plate negative of canoeists on one of Belle Isle's lakes at the start of a canoe parade on August 25, 1906. Passengers and paddlers are in the canoes, along with decorative flags, parasols, and even a pillow decorated with a skull and crossbones. Spectators watch the canoes from the shore on the immediate left, as well as from the further shore in the background on the right. "#766 Start of the Canoe Parade, Belle Isle, Aug. 25 1906, Det. Hist. Museum," is handwritten on the verso.

The float is mounted on street car trucks and is decorated to show early French explorers who have placed a large wooden cross on land. Three explorers and a horse are standing on the float. A sign at the right side of the float notes "First Cross" along with several additional words that are not legible due to the angle of the sign. The parade is moving along a residential street with several houses and trees being visible in the background. There are about ten spectators who are standing behind the curb.

The float consists of a minimally-decorated wagon that is being drawn by two horses and which is carrying a large balance scale. Two men are seated on the wagon. An arch-shaped sign over the top notes "The Standard Computing Scale Co., Ltd.; Manufacturers of Computing Scales; Detroit, Mich." Two smaller signs note "Grocers Favorite" and "Butchers Favorite." A brick apartment building is visible in the background, but the street name is not known. At the lower right side of the photo, a man is standing on the street beside a stack of clay sewer pipe sections.

Two men are at the front of the wagon (one standing and one seated) and four children are seated in back. The name, "Jewett, Bigelow & Brooks. Coal.," is painted on the side of the wagon and the floral letters, "JBB," can be seen just above the painted letters. Two men are standing in the street near the horses and a third man is standing near the back of the wagon. The parade is moving along a residential street and several wood-frame houses are visible in the background, but the street name is not known.
