- Color postcard depicting the steamer PLEASURE docked at the foot of Woodward Avenue. A sign on the boat reads "Pleasure" and a sign on the dock reads "Moonlight To-Night, Steamer Columbia, 8:30 to 11:30, 35¢". In the foreground is a car and a person on a bicycle. Printed on verso: Belle Isle Pleasure Boat. A favorite method of access to Belle Isle, Detroit's principal pleasure ground, is by steamer, and boats leave regularly from convenient wharves, for the big pier at "The Island." The scene shows one of the large steamers of the Detroit Belle Isle and Windsor Ferry Co., leaving the foot of Woodward Avenue for Belle Isle, band playing and picknickers [sic] thronging the decks. Handwritten message on verso, postmarked Aug 19, 1915.

- One postcard entitled "Belle Isle Pleasure Boat, Detroit, Mich." The postcard shows a color photographic image of the Belle Isle ferry boat, "Pleasure," docked at the foot of Woodward Avenue. The image shows a starboard side bow view of the ferry which has many passengers standing on the decks. The dock and buildings can be seen in the right background. Printed text on the verso shows details about the boat which was operated by the Detroit, Belle Isle, and Windsor Ferry Company.

The steamers Pleasure and Tashmoo, loading with excursionists,, bound respectively for Belle Isle and the St. Clair Flats. Thousands of people take in the popular trips these steamers afford. The scene is typical of the summer season in Detroit. Handwritten message on verso, postmarked Aug 19, 1908.

Beyond, a railroad crossing with several raised gates and an elevated flagman's booth can be seen. A two-tiered pavilion is in the background at the waterfront.
