- Woman's suit. Two piece. Grey and mauve brocade with silvery figure, probably synthetic. Design based on the unicorn tapestry, showing the unicorn in captivated with scattered flowers between the corrals. Jacket: single breasted, with five self-covered buttons. Shallow V-neck, notched collar. Long tight sleeves with elbow darts, wide fold-back cuffs, very fitted. Mid-hip length, lined with grey crepe. Skirt: below knee length. Center front box pleat. Side pleats conceal pockets, gored back, side zipper. Label: Florice, Washington Blvd., Detroit. Note: Florice: Florence Rice, in business 1930-60s. Blouse: probably worn with suit. White nylon lace. Very fitted. Square neck. Cap sleeves. Side zipper. Label: A Belita Classic, 100% nylon. Note: Worn by Mrs. Frederick Kurth. (b. Edna B. Froelich on 4-17-04 in Detroit, married 1925) at her daughter's wedding Jeanne Kurth Heise, 1950).

- Gray textured wool suit. Suit consists of dress, jacket and belt. Accents include white cotton twill on the cuffs and neckline of the dress. There are plastic buttons down the neck of the dress and jacket. This garment was owned by Matilda Dodge Wilson (October 19, 1883 – September 19, 1967),who was the wife of John Francis Dodge (October 25, 1864 – January 14, 1920), co-founder of the Dodge Motor Car Company in Detroit, Michigan.

- According to our records, the suit belonged to Henry Ford.Born in 1863 on a farm in what is now Dearborn, Michigan, Henry Ford parlayed a youthful aptitude for engineering into a career as an automotive innovator and founder/president of Ford Motor Company. Among his ideas were the introduction of the first moving automobile assembly line, affordable pricing, fair wages for employees, and the vertical integration of manufacturing processes from raw materials to the finished product. His many philanthropic accomplishments included the establishment (with his wife, Clara) of a nationally ranked hospital, the founding (with his son, Edsel) of the Ford Foundation, and the creation of The Henry Ford, an indoor/outdoor museum complex celebrating American ingenuity.

- Description:
- Woman's navy blue wool matlesse suit with a cut-a-way jacket and long skirt. The V-neck jacket has a deep shawl collar and a partial velvet facing. Long narrow sleeves have three velvet ball buttons. The jacket closes with two velvet ball buttons and an elaborate velvet and self-fabric frogs. It is lined in nary color charmuse. The coat dips from waist length in front to knee length in back. Half-belt of fabric tubing and velvet at waist level. Ankle-length pegged skirt with a concealed waistband is shaped with pleats at front hem and tucks at waist. The skirt hooks down the side front, and is unlined with the seams bound with tape. Labeled: Himelhoch's, Detroit.

The jacket is hip-length, and has padded shoulders, and long straight sleeves with turned-up button cuffs. Slash pockets are positioned at the hips. Lined, with side zipper, and a front placket.
