Karanis; Textiles; Wool

Notes:
Fragment of yellowed woven wool fabric with a corner of a green/blue dove-tail tapestry. Two warps are used for the dove-tails. There are two small remnants of a fragment that was sewn on. One small piece is attached by a loose sewing yarn at one edge. The other is along the opposite edge and is attached by a row of stitches. This small fragment has yellowed warp, remnants of a green/blue weft and a narrow pale red weft band, 0.2 cm wide (10 picks). All fragments could be from the same web.
