cosmetic jar and lid; Cologne; Glass vessels; Glass; undecorated

Notes:
A clear glass cosmetic jar and its cover. Jar has a slightly flaring narrow rim with flattish sides near the top but the curved around to form a bulbous body. The base is flat with a slight kick and pontil mark. The lid is flat and round, with the edge out splayed and then folded under. The pontil mark and some wheel tooling is evident, The piece is frosty with some bubbles. The lid has iron stains. Bowl is Roman 2-3rd cent A.D. “cover” is an Islamic window roundel of 10th cent or later.
