The verso, page 279, contains a portion of a chapter from a story and several excerpts from articles from other publications, including "Anecdote of an Actor," from the North American Review, "Magnificent Night Scene," from Hon. Edward Everett's Address at Albany, and "The Chinese Monarchy," from the Baltimore Sun.
