Rome; Lamps; Clay (unfired); Slip

Notes:

Reddish buff micaceous clay with worn red slip. Nozzle with straight sides extending across the rim and converging toward discus. On the rim, series of triangles made up of seven raised dots. Raised panel on rim on either side, one was gouged in the process of making. Slightly raised band about discus. Moulded design (pegasus?) facing right on discus. Small air hole at base of nozzle. Ring handle, two grooves on upper half. On plain reverse traces of incised stamp. Small chip off underside.
